These banks leave channels 1-5 blank for that reason. For more typical immediate wavetable selection via CV or manually on the cue sets page make sure you are on FW 125 or later. The internal trigger feature added in 125 is patched to its own channel in these banks to loop the waves to update cue sets immediately - since they only update when a trigger is received. This eliminates the need to use the standard loop option as well. Start the oscillator by pressing the encoder once on the channel page. Each set of waves created in WaveEdit by Synthesis Technology has 64 cue sets or one cue set per wave. These wave banks are very easy to set up using the ‘split’ function in the ‘cue sets’ page on the Squid. Most of these banks were downloaded from: https://waveeditonline.com/ where you can find more user contributed banks. ///// bank 1 >> cool - fun varied banks ///// bank 2 >> cool2 - more fun varied banks ///// bank 3 >> vocal - formant waves ///// bank 4 >> bells - bell like tonez ///// bank 5 >> esq - waves from ESQ-1 and Fizmo ///// bank 6 >> drawn - hand drawn waves ///// bank 7 >> braid - wavetables from MI Braids ///// bank 8 >> plait - wavetables from MI Plaits ///// bank 9 >> amenb - amen break converted to wavetables [low res time stretching sounds] ///// bank 10 >> speak - words converted to wavetables [low res time stretching sounds] 6 - laughter 7 - “acid” 8 - “busy circuits”
